Description :SummaryUnder the direct supervision of a licensed nurse and as part of a collaborative care team, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential support to meet the personal needs and comfort of patients. This role ensures a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment while honoring the dignity and individuality of each patient. The CNA maintains clinical competency, demonstrates age-specific care practices, and actively participates in continuing education related to healthcare.Essential ResponsibilitiesProvide compassionate care for patients’ personal needs and comfort.Assist with hygiene tasks including bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, and elimination needs.Perform delegated nursing tasks such as:Collecting specimens and vital signsAdministering enemasTransporting patientsApplying non-sterile dressingsPerforming surgical prepsApplying ice packs and heat treatmentsDocument all care provided in a comprehensive and timely manner.Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked patient care environment.Anticipate and respond to patient comfort needs by rounding and answering call lights.Communicate patient observations and data to the assigned nurse.Uphold ethical standards by delivering care with professionalism, sensitivity, and respect for patient autonomy, dignity, and beliefs.Minimum QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredCompletion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant Program (required)ExperiencePrior experience in a healthcare setting preferredLicensure/CertificationCurrent certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Maryland (required)Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification in compliance with organizational policyPhysical and Mental DemandsAbility to lift, move, and transport patients and equipmentStamina to stand and walk for extended periodsEmotional resilience to support patients and families in challenging situationsCapacity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentCaring for Our Team
