Job DescriptionThe Senior Director, Construction is a key member of the Construction & Design team at Eataly, taking a lead role in driving and delivering on Eataly's North America growth plans. The Senior Director, Construction works with the D&C teams in North America and Eataly's global HQ to manage all aspects of construction projects from pre-construction to project close-out and is responsible for planning, project management, and execution of new store developments. Reports to the CEO, North America.Leads the Design & Construction (D&C) teams to oversee development of new and existing store construction for Eataly and Eataly Caffe locations across North AmericaEnsures a construction project schedule is initiated and distributed to key stakeholdersMaintains and distributes revised schedules to all applicable parties through the duration of project to allow the store(s) to open on timeProvides subject matter expertise in construction managementManages vendors on projects from development and preconstruction onwardsWorks with the D&C team to identify and drive process and operational efficienciesDevelops and prepares project budgets and cost estimates and ensures that project stays within budgetDevelops schedules and maintains targeted completion dates: understands how to manage milestones, and bring appropriate resources to challenges impacting the scheduleProvides site analysisHelps develop and fully manage budgets consistent with timeline requirements for New Store DevelopmentProvides, reviews and coordinates construction documents with architect, Kitchen Equipment Contractor, Mechanical, Engineering & Plumbing, and landlordMonitors and directs general contractor and vendor performance during construction build-out phaseConsolidates, communicates and manages all issues and risks affecting the project; communicates project status to project participants and key collaborators accurately and on timeMaintains relationships with jurisdictions and planning commissions to ensure seamless store openingsPerforms other duties as required or assignedQualifications5 + years of construction management experience in retail, restaurant or hospitalityPrevious experience managing large project budgets; strong finance skillsExceptional project management and time-management skillsPrevious experience working directly for a multi-unit brand preferredExcellent technical and software skills, including Revit, CAD, and/or Sketch UpExcellent communication, team leadership and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a dynamic environment and recognize when to pivot vs holding steadyBachelor's Degree or higher in relevant field preferredJOB REQUIREMENTSUp to 50% travel, with fluctuating increases in travel for ongoing projectsThe annual compensation for this role is $170,000- $180,0000Additional InformationBenefits and Perks
