In this role, you’ll lead capital equipment projects that connect multiple manufacturing facilities to a central warehouse—ensuring seamless, reliable product flow across our campus. Your work will directly impact efficiency, scalability, and the future of how we move products from factory to customer.Position Principal Manufacturing EngineerLocation USA, Louisville, KYHow You'll Create PossibilitiesEngineer Innovation: Design, develop, and implement advanced conveyance and sortation systems that optimize material flow and connect manufacturing with warehousing.Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with operations, logistics, IT, and maintenance to ensure smooth system integration and sustainable performance.Drive Continuous Improvement: Analyze current systems, identify opportunities for innovation, and implement data-driven improvements.Lead Projects End-to-End: Own project plans, budgets, and timelines—delivering results that make a measurable impact.Guide and Mentor: Provide technical leadership while supporting the growth of junior engineers and team members.Stay Ahead of the Curve: Leverage emerging technologies and industry best practices to keep our systems efficient, safe, and competitive.What You'll Bring to Our TeamMinimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering, with a focus on conveyance and sortation systems.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale engineering projects in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of automation and material handling technologies. Familiarity with PLC controls.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
  • Project management skills, with experience in managing budgets and timelines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software, MS Office, and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to industrial safety, manufacturing, and material handling.
  • Willingness to travel as required, typically ~25%.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience implementing material flow systems for Fortune 500 companies.
  • Prior experience with NPI programs.
  • Proficiency in MS Project (or equivalent).
