Job Description:Job Description:Plans, organizes and directs all functions of Environmental Services to provide for a safe, clean, functional and comfortable environment, adhering to regulatory requirements.Primary Job Duties:
  • Oversees the scheduling and work performance of all Maintenance, Housekeeping and Laundry personnel.
  • Assures the proper operation of all mechanical systems through preventative maintenance programs and proactive equipment replacements plans.
  • Performs maintenance tasks as needed to ensure desired outcomes
  • Assures that resident units are properly prepared for new admissions, coordinating this process closely with Resident Services staff
  • Develops and maintains Environmental Services policies
  • Maintains inventory control systems
  • Maintain familiarity relationships with all Residents through regular rounds and engagement
  • Assure that Fire and Disaster preparedness is adequate through regular drills and educational undertakings with residents and staff
Requirements:
  • 3 years' experience in health care setting
  • 3 years' supervisory/management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of IDPH Life Safety regulations
  • HVAC certification a plus
  • Must have excellent computer skills
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Must demonstrate both leadership and teamwork
  • Must have excellent attendance history
  • Must enjoy being of service to senior adults
  • Maintains a neat professional appearance
  • Ability to analyze and solve difficult technical problems
