Develops benefits communications and counsels employees and Benefits Team on benefits
related issues.
Benefits Program Administration including Health/Welfare, retirement plans and Leave of
Absence
Benefits Program Compliance Filings and audits - COBRA, PPACA, Leave of Absence (Federal,
State and jurisdicational), 5500s, 401(k) audits, CMS, PCORI fees, among other federal and state
filing requirements
Vendor Management
Manages/supervises staff of Benefit Specialists
Plays a strong role in renewal and Open Enrollment Administration including system
setup/testing, employee communication including review of all employee facing collateral,
verndor/carrier contract renewal
Analyzes benefits related data to recognize trends and recommends solutions
Develops processes and procedures to meet regulations external to the company, and that meet
company goals and decisions
QualificationsQualifications/Skills:Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of HR/Benefits experience and 3+ years managing others
Strong communication skills; effective organizational and interpersonal skills including strong
written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, analytical and detail-oriented
Ability to troubleshoot - listen, understand, guide others and take action to resolve data or
claims issuesAbility to multitask, prioritize, and change focus quickly in fast paced work environment
Strong understanding of HR/benefit processes and data, including system workflow, benefit
eligibility/enrollment rules and procedures and regulatory compliance
Able to clearly present information through spoken word, providing the necessary level of detail
even under stressful or demanding coniditions. Ensure a positive attitude and team oreintation
is exhibited in verbal and non-verbal communication.
