I'm currently partnered with the Controller and Director of Finance at a leading, private-equity backed, multi-million dollar beverage company. Our client specializes in the management, distribution, and marketing of a diverse portfolio of premium and well-loved alcohol brands and have established themselves as a key player in the spirits and beverage market over the last 10 years. Due to their organic and acquisitive growth, they are looking to add a Senior Staff Accountant to their team to assist in the oversight and completion of the month-end close and the financial reporting process, while gaining exposure to the finance activities of the organization, such as budgeting, forecasting, and more!Senior Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
  • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Prepare and maintain schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, including gathering data, analyzing trends, and preparing reports.
  • Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed, such as process improvements or system implementations.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in Accounting
  • Public Accounting experience preferred
  • Manufacturing/Consumer Goods industry experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Net Suite experience a plus
  • Ample written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong MS Excel skills
