Help us do it. We will train you!Perrigo is looking for a highly motivated Material Handler to join our Warehouse team! This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a starting pay rate of $22 - $24 / hour, depending on experience, plus an off-shift premium of $2.50 / hour. A comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, as well as a profit sharing bonus of 5%, is also offered by Perrigo.The schedule for this position is as follows:Weekend Nights: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday from 6pm - 6am ET2027 Plant Closure DisclaimerIn March of 2025, Perrigo announced that the current operations at our facility in Milton, VT will be migrated to our plant in Eau Claire, WI at the estimated sunset date of July 2027. However, production operations will continue for approximately the next two years, so we want to make the remaining work experience with us as compelling as possible during that time!Perrigo is committed to offering a highly competitive severance package for employees who see this project through to completion. At the time of the plant closure, if your tenure length is at least 12 months, you would be entitled to 52 weeks (one year’s worth) of base pay, bonus, and company-paid COBRA coverage for up to 1-year following your exit. For employees with less than 12 months’ tenure at the time of plant closure, they will receive 36 weeks (9 months) of base pay, bonus, and COBRA coverage. These severance offerings would be consistent with the terms of the Perrigo Company plc Severance Policy for U.S. Employees. From a new employee’s start date with Perrigo through their role completion, employment with Perrigo will remain as full-time, regular, benefits-eligible, and at-will employment classification.Scope of the RolePerforms warehouse material handling duties safely and efficiently to maximize storage and minimize damage. Operates forklifts (walk-behind, counterbalance rider, turret trucks) and palletizing/stretch-wrap equipment per SOPs and work instructions. Cross-trains in at least three of four functions: Receiving, Shipping, Production Staging, and Off-site warehouses.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Safely operate material handling equipment (forklifts, turret trucks, palletizing/stretch-wrap). Load/unload trucks, store/remove items in racks, complete required documentation.
  • Support packaging lines and production liquefaction with materials and supplies.
  • Access and use SAP as needed.
  • Perform daily warehouse duties (load chief, rework, waste, baling, forklift battery changes).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Cross-train in at least three warehouse functions:
Receiving Duties
  • Inspect, verify, and properly identify inbound materials in SAP.
  • Ensure accurate inventory and arrange delivery to appropriate personnel.
  • Note QA sampling requirements and sign off Bill of Lading.
  • Maintain documentation for inbound loads, including SAP data collection.
Shipping Duties
  • Maintain documentation for shipments from facility.
  • Pack/label shipments, prepare MSOs, and arrange carrier pickups.
  • Finalize documentation and distribute to ensure accurate flow of information.
  • Access SAP for shipment details.
Staging Crew Duties
  • Oversee staging process, physically set up production liquefaction materials, and complete staging documentation.
  • Lead and direct Material Handlers, ensuring safe and efficient duties to minimize damage/discrepancies.
  • Access SAP to generate production orders (PTOs) and resolve inventory issues.
Off-site Warehouse Duties
  • Manage staging, loading/unloading, and documentation of product at outside warehouses.
  • Receive/verify raw material and component shipments.
  • Ensure GMPs, SOPs, and WIs are followed.
  • Perform housekeeping duties and warehouse tasks with minimal supervision.
Experience RequiredRequired Experience
  • High School or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of experience safely operating forklift and material handling equipment in an automated warehouse environment is required.
Position Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 55 lbs. is required.
  • Incumbent will be exposed to noise and hot and cold temperatures.
  • Depth perception and the ability to drive backward while sitting forward.
  • Willing and able to wear appropriate safety equipment to perform specific job duties per zoning requirements.
