- Prepares and serves food according to work schedule to maintain efficiency, food safety and cost effectiveness.
- Stores food and supplies.
- Utilizes proper safety and sanitation procedures.
- Uses and maintains food service equipment including slicers, commercial ovens, warmers, openers and dishwashers.
- Assists in daily cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen, equipment and serving areas.
- Works cooperatively with all employees, students and parents.
- Reports unsafe procedures or circumstances to appropriate manager.
- Performs cashier duties according to work schedule to maintain efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Maintains food service computerized cashier records.
- Secures money collected for pickup by security agency.
- Travels to various kitchen sites to cover meal services if needed.
- Knows basic currency and kitchen math and is able to follow a recipe.
- Prepares and serves meals outside of the regular school day on occasional basis for special events.
- Performs other responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of the food service program.
- Exercises regular and punctual attendance.
- Follow federal regulations
