SummaryIf you enjoy working in a fast paced, growing company, this is the opportunity for you! Our PE backed, fast growing, software client is seeking a VP of Accounting to join their team. The Vice President of Accounting reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is pivotal in managing and improving the accounting functions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial information, and supporting strategic decision-making through rigorous data analysis. The VP of Accounting will oversee the accounting team to achieve operational excellence, maintain compliance and reporting standards, and effectively integrate financial processes of newly acquired companies. This position is remote but they prefer the candidate sit in the Atlanta, GA area.Responsibilities
  • Make sure monthly accounting is completed on time and correctly. Improve how money is collected and predicted, and follow best practices to make financial work more efficient and accurate.
  • Set and follow global accounting rules and controls.
  • Oversee the financial and operational transition when new companies are acquired. Ensure smooth integration into current systems, and manage research, financial planning, and consistent accounting practices to help the business grow.
  • Complete the accounting for acquisitions including purchase accounting, opening balance sheet accounting
  • Build and scale the accounting team for rapid growth
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting Required
  • Master's degree in Accounting Preferred
  • Licensed CPA required
  • Software as a service industry experience required
  • Experience working for a PE backed company
  • Experience with M&A at a PE backed company required
  • Prior experience as an accounting leader
  • Public accounting experience a plus
  • Experience working as a member of the Senior Leadership Team
