South Port Square is actively seeking a hospitality-driven professional to join our growing team!ABOUT THE ROLE:The Dietary Aide is responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to health center residents in accordance with posted therapeutic diet menus.Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dietary Aide:
  • Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
  • Serves meals in the health center.
  • Sets up tables in the health center dining room and breaks down same after meal.
  • Transport hot and cold foods to and from the health center.
  • Transport all required nonfood items to and from the health center.
  • Maintains station equipment and work area in safe and sanitary condition.
  • Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred.
  • Can understand measurements and conversions.
  • Are team players!
  • Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
  • Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
