- Teach on campus as dictated by program need, course schedule, and enrollment demand.
- Available to students periodically outside of class; to engage students actively in their own learning.
- Maintain high standards with regards to course content.
- Provide students with timely feedback on their course work and examinations.
- Adhere to program assessment practices and policies.
- Participate in governance activities to support student success efforts and assessment tasks.
- Create a syllabus, use Canvas (college learning management system) for assignments and correspondence, and submit end of term grades.
- Provide and create own music playlists, be prepared to learn audio or microphone technology with support by the chair.
- Nationally recognized, current certification within group fitness or class specialty (ACSM, ACE, NASM, etc.)
- CPR/First Aid Certified, current
- Associate, Bachelors and/or combination of industry experience
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate learning of students/colleagues from diverse backgrounds
- Effective communication skills
- Ability and willingness to adapt to changing teaching schedules and situations
