MANUAL LATHE MACHINIST

• Set up and operate manual lathes with Fanuc controls per blueprints, GD&T, and operation sheets
• Work with sheet metal and tight tolerances
• Prove out and make simple edits to NC programs; download/edit programs from CIMNET system
• Perform routine maintenance and monitor fluid levels; report malfunctions to maintenance/supervisor
• Maintain clean and safe work area and machinery
• Accurately complete all required production paperwork
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications
• Use precision tools to measure parts and verify tolerances
• Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and tooling instructions
• Observe machining operations to detect malfunctions or excessive wear
• Maintain required personal tools for machinist duties

• Proven experience as a manual machinist
• Proficient in operating and editing manual machine tools (e.g. lathes, grinders)
• Skilled in using precision instruments such as calipers and micrometers
• Understanding of metal properties and machining procedures
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy items
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Vocational training or apprenticeship is a plus
