- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for logistics services, aligning with organizational goals and objectives
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with global logistics providers to ensure optimal service levels and cost-effectiveness
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and service offerings to identify opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement
- Lead cross-functional teams in the evaluation and selection of logistics partners across different regions
- Oversee the implementation of logistics projects and initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with existing operations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective sourcing strategies
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure vendor compliance and continuous improvement
- Stay current with international trade regulations and customs requirements, ensuring compliance across all logistics operations
- Develop and maintain a risk management framework for the global logistics network
- Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and present recommendations to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in global sourcing, procurement, category management, or logistics management roles, with comparable scope and responsibility in a similar industry or organizational environment
- Proven track record of successful cost reduction initiatives and supply chain optimization
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation and vendor management on a global scale
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience in a multinational manufacturing organisation or similar
