Liquid Environmental Solutions (LES) is seeking a Class A CDL Driver with manual transmission experience to serve as a Field Service Technician – OWS & Grit Specialist for our Charlotte, NC - Fayetteville, NC route. You’ll work hands-on in the field operating vacuum trucks to clean oil/water separators, grit traps, and grease interceptors for commercial and industrial clients. This position offers consistent local work, career development, and meaningful service in a growing industry.Key Responsibilities:Operate vacuum trucks to clean oil/water separators (OWS), grit traps, and grease trapsPull and manage heavy vacuum hoses (50+ lbs) over long distances and uneven terrainPerform sludge judge readings and complete detailed inspections at each service siteProvide line jetting services for grease and OWS system maintenanceEnsure all materials collected are non-hazardous and handled per company protocolComplete daily pre- and post-trip DVIR inspections using electronic systemsLog all services, inspections, and notes accurately via tablet-based softwareProvide professional customer service, communicating any system issues or findingsWork safely in confined spaces, slippery surfaces, and areas with hydrocarbon exposureParticipate in emergency service response and on-call rotation when neededMinimum Qualifications:Valid CDL Class A licenseManual transmission (10-speed) experience requiredAt least one (1) year of commercial driving (military equivalent accepted)Registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse before hireDOT medical certification required (must be medically qualified)Previous vacuum truck, grease trap, or septic service experience preferredAbility to lift 55+ lbs regularly and work in physically demanding environmentsComfortable with unpleasant odors and dirty fieldworkIdeal Candidate:Physically strong, with stamina and excellent coordinationMechanically inclined—able to troubleshoot minor issues in the fieldComfortable in wet pits, sediment-filled traps, and variable outdoor conditionsHighly organized and attentive to service documentation and complianceSelf-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong communication skills and a safety-first mindsetWorking Conditions:Mix of driving and on-site physical service workExposure to industrial areas, weather extremes, slippery surfaces, and trafficRequires early mornings, some late evenings, and occasional weekends/on-callWhy Join LES?Starting pay $30+/hr with overtime availableWeekly pay and consistent, full-time hoursCareer-track training in OWS, grease, and grit systemsIndustry-leading technology and equipmentFull benefits package including:Medical, Dental, and Vision insurancePaid holidays and personal time off401(k) with company matchCompany-paid life insuranceEmployee referral bonusesWho We Are
