Position Summary:The primary responsibility of the role is to lead/supervise the workings of the warehouse day-to-day operations in supervision of personnel, inventory, warehousing, shipping and assembly, and assembly of restroom and sink units. Additionally, this position works to ensure the proper following of policies and procedures.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual production planning and execution of manufacturing lines
  • Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates team members, monitors and evaluates performance of team
  • Keeps track of output and efficiencies using KPI’s to keep the team on track and profitable
  • Works with purchasing to make sure the necessary production materials are arriving both on time and accurately
  • Ultimately responsible for maintaining the highest level of quality product
  • Oversees and continually improves our safety program to ensure a safe environment for team members
  • Drives continuous improvement through 5S, Six Sigma, and Lean manufacturing programs
  • Directs continuous process improvement initiatives with team members
  • Leads production scheduling team to maximize output while keeping team on task to meet deadlines
  • Develops and maintains constructive working relationships with employees to effectively guide activities that embodies the Satellite culture.
  • Remains knowledgeable of required personnel related guidelines, policies and procedures of the company and take action necessary to ensure adherence.
  • Insure that all policies and guidelines are administered fairly and equitable.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Work along side the warehouse team as needed
Supervisory Responsibilities:This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department in coordination with the Operations Manager.Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a progressive manufacturing, operations management, and/or leadership role
  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and/or 5S required. Certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in team building
  • Experience managing a team of 10 members or more
  • Strong record of growing and leading teams
  • Proven history of increasing efficiency and output while maintaining profitability
  • Proven problem solving in a warehouse / manufacturing environment.

Physical/Mental Demands:
  • Wears personnel protective equipment as required
  • Physical and mental ability to operate oversize loads and all associated equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to perform rigorous outside and indoor duties including walking, standing, climbing, stooping, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, sitting, lifting, grasping, pushing, pulling, manual dexterity, etc.
  • Good fine motor skills, coordination, range of motion and grip strength
  • Ability to work in all climate conditions.
  • Ability to be exposed to loud noise levels.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Ability to work in an environment containing dirt, grease, and dust.
  • Ability to work safely around heavy machinery and heavy equipment.
