- Cultivates and nurtures new graduate student candidates while providing consultative services to prospective students throughout the enrollment funnel with continued relationship building through the first semesters of enrollment.
- Advises students regarding educational opportunities and options, admission and other requirements, policies and procedures, and financial assistance.
- Maintains and documents communication via telephone, SMS, video calls, and email with prospective students through all stages of the recruitment, admission, and enrollment process.
- Provides focused support for international prospective students throughout the recruitment, visa, and onboarding process.
- Manages the graduate WhatsApp account. Manages the graduate I-20 process for prospective students and is the primary liaison between the Graduate Admissions Office and the International Center.
- Oversees the graduate campus tour organization, communication, and workflows. Coordinates availability with faculty and graduate student ambassadors for the graduate campus tour program.
- Assists with implementing and maintaining technology-related systems, practices, and operational processes for the graduate admissions office with the primary goal of improving effectiveness in recruitment, communication, and yield.
- Under the leadership of the Executive Director of Graduate Admissions, serves as a backup for the Associate Director of Graduate Admissions.
- Uses the CRM efficiently to closely monitor applications and yield as indicated in targets set forth for the department.
- Assists with daily processing such as, but not limited, to resolving record processing errors, consolidating records, and releasing decisions.
- Develops customized reports, responding to system changes, testing systems, and contributing to staff development.
- Serves as a consultant to graduate program directors, contributes to the training of new graduate program directors and yearly review and update sessions for each program.
- Helps oversee Graduate Assistants within the office and participates in training and overseeing work output
- Participates in on-campus/off-campus recruitment activities including graduate fairs, university visits, etc. and provides prospective students with information regarding program offerings.
- Represents the Office of Graduate Admissions as needed and participates in appropriate state and national professional organizations.
Working ConditionsNormal office situation. Requires travel, including overnight stays.
EducationBachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
Physical EffortTypically sitting at a desk or table. Light lifting or carrying, 25lbs or less.
Special SkillsThe ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
