
Electrical Engineering Manager

- Direct department activities to design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures
- Resolve problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts
- Analyze technology trends and market demand to plan projects
- Manage the timely revision of drawings and bills of material, as required
- Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products
- Forecast operating costs of the department and direct the preparation of budget requests
- Advise management of new developments which may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations
- Provides direction and example for the interpretation and application of company policies and procedures to the engineering activities
- Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies that may improve operations, and develop recommendations accordingly
- Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering
- 6+ years of related experience
- 4+ years of people supervisor or management experience
- UL Electrical Standards and Regulations
- Electrical Modeling and Simulation experience
- Skilled in Engineering Processes such as DFMEA, DVP&R etc.
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- HVAC industry experience
- Experience with motor and VFD design
