- Assist PI’s and others with preparing sponsored program applications, including review to ensure compliance with RFP, reviewing/preparing project budgets and justifications, completing agency forms, uploading proposal documents to on-line systems as necessary;
- Review applications and budget proposals for accuracy and completeness, and ensure compliance with university, sponsor, state, and federal polices and regulations;
- Maintain professional communication with principal investigators and others to ensure smooth processes for submitting proposals and accepting awards;
- Communicate with departments, divisions, PI’s and sponsored program administrators regarding administrative, budgetary and compliance requirements;
- Develop, refine, and perform quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations governing sponsored programs;
- Provide support to the Director, as requested, such as researching and preparing topic specific training materials;
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver activities, including meetings and workshops, in support of training and outreach to support the success of sponsored programs including topics, such as locating funding opportunities, proposal & budget preparation, allowable costs, and compliance with federal circulars;
- Monitor various complex and changing regulations and federal guidance as it applies to sponsored programs administration in order to assist in the interpretation and application relating to pre- and post-award administration of grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements;
- Perform initial review of grant and contract awards for compliance with university rules and regulations;
- Ensure accuracy of database of proposals and awards, prepare reports, initiate speedtype request, and other associated tasks;
- Collaborate with the Director to develop, refined and enhance sponsored programs processes, policies, and procedures;
- Serve as back-up to the Research Compliance Specialist, and
- Collaborate with the Director and Assistant Director for Research Compliance on special projects as assigned.

- Potential start date: August 15th, 2025.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in communication, management, business, or relevant degree and administrative experience, OR combination of education and experience in sponsored programs administration equivalent. Candidates with other equivalent qualifications may be considered.
- Experience in an academic or research healthcare organization is preferred.
- Experience in sponsored administration or higher education programs is preferred.
