Will utilize Quality Engineering methods and leadership to evaluate and initiate actions to identify and control sources of variation detrimental to quality, cost, and schedule targets.
Scope of responsibility also includes: support root cause, corrective and preventive action investigations/ decisions/ validations, integration tasks, along with area improvement strategy and planning. Candidate will assist various management, staff, vendors/suppliers, customers, and partners with initiatives to reengineer processes and methods to ensure compliance to customer contractual requirements and continuous improvement initiatives in the areas of cost, efficiency, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction.The successful candidate will play a key role in executing initiatives associated with the Quality organization.Duties will include but are not be limited to:
  • Serving as the QE POC for the NGI Mission Support Vehicle Integrated Product Team
  • Oversight of requirements implementation for assigned Safety & Mission Critical Item Suppliers
  • Developing program Quality Requirements
  • Managing databases and associated key business metrics
  • Managing business processes to measure and improve quality performance and update/improve departmental procedures as required.
  • Responsible and accountable for delivering effective methods and initiating improvements that will drive and improve overall quality performance.
  • Conduct/coordinate process and product evaluations and assessments.
  • Support/Conduct Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations
  • Review and approve First Article Inspection (FAI) reports
  • Support various program process reviews
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Collaborate with stakeholders/counterparts from various functions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Provide local customer interface
  • Travel may be required
Basic Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills needed for collaboration, communication, and presentations.
  • Results focused with effective scheduling and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments while meeting customer requirements
  • Must have problem solving skills at a highly refined level
  • US citizenship required with ability to obtain a interim secret clearance
Desired skills
  • QMRB Certification
  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP Systems
  • Experience effectively engaging with government customer representatives
  • Familiarity with MDA Mission Assurance Provisions (MAP) Revision C
  • Experience representing QA among internal and external stakeholders at technical reviews
  • Ability to analyze quality performance metrics and lead actions to address concerns
  • Experience working to identify and drive systemic root cause and corrective action utilizing quantitative, qualitative analytical capabilities to communicate and influence others in a concise, data driven manner.
  • A team player that can work with multiple disciplines in multi-functional organizations
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelors or masters degree in a technical discipline with 2+ years of experience
