QualificationsAbout the Role: Counseling Center at Windsor: Mental Health CounselorNorth Range Behavioral Health believes no one should fight behavioral health challenges alone. Our experienced, well-trained Counseling Center at Windsor team works alongside an integrated team of mental health and substance use professionals. Clinicians at the Counseling Center at Windsor provide counseling to individuals, couples, and families – additionally, clinicians can provide early childhood development education and assessments.Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with utilization, quality improvement, and corporate policies and standards.
  • Provide direct services to clients as assigned by your supervisor, including assessments, goal setting, and treatment for mental health challenges.
  • Conduct screenings, intakes, and assessments within established timelines, utilizing the required tools and formats.
  • Develop and update strength-based treatment plans and continuing care plans, ensuring timely referrals and discharge summaries.
  • Assess clients’ diagnoses and mental status and create individualized treatment plans to meet their needs.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation in various settings and assess risk to ensure client safety.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, law enforcement, external providers, and psychiatrists to deliver coordinated care.
  • Work with clients on safety planning, symptom management, and risk education to enhance support systems and improve overall well-being.
  • Utilize therapeutic interventions and behavioral skills training to help clients develop coping strategies, make informed decisions, and solve daily life challenges.
  • Support and implement evidence-based practices to ensure the effectiveness of client interventions.
  • Provide case management and connect clients to internal and external resources to support treatment goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets insurability requirements.
  • Successful completion of background, fingerprinting, and drug testing
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.
Experience:
  • 1 year of experience working with individuals with mental health challenges is required.
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
  • Annual Flu Vaccinations
  • Annual TB Testing
