- Serve as System coordinator overseeing all Air Force Defensive Cyber Programs for the Air Force Material Leader
- Chairs Air Force-wide level boards and review processes such as Enterprise Review Boards, Risk Oversight Management Board in order to provide technical direction, coaching and mentoring to multiple major defensive cyber programs of record
- Strategic Advisor to Air Force Material Leader to inform government decision on major program of record level purchases, architectural and engineering design choices to provide specific technical guidance to subordinate teams working on components of the AF-wide enterprise.
- Facilitate seamless coordination and alignment among various Air Force Material Leader initiatives, ensuring the comprehensive development and deployment of Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) capabilities across all phases of the acquisition lifecycle from conception through sustainment.
- Lead development, and implementation of new and/or emerging technologies and processes to inform government decision for the AF-wide Security Operations Center and Defensive Cyber systems conducting cyber operations in support of impacting IT systems, business IT( Finance, personnel, etc) and operational IT (aircraft mission planning systems, aircraft maintenance systems.)
- Offer strategic guidance and integration strategies across a spectrum of phenomenology, encompassing sensoring devices, computing systems, networking components (e.g., routers, switches), aircraft data bus, industrial control systems, radio frequency technologies, and data link networks.
- Drive strategic alignment and integration in data engineering practices across multiple technological platforms, fostering the development of a unified data fabric conducive to efficient information exchange and management.
- Direct the strategic fusion of data analysis methodologies, harmonizing diverse data inputs to create a cohesive community of interest, thus enhancing situational awareness and decision-making capabilities.
- Evaluate commercial and Department of Defense (DoD) intelligence insights to devise innovative cyber defense strategies aimed at countering Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs), thereby safeguarding critical systems and infrastructure.
- Requires a Bachelors in Cyber focuses field (computer science, computer engineering, cyber security, etc) with 12+ years of prior relevant cyber security experience; additional experience in lieu of degree may be acceptable.
- Understand the relationship between applications, operating systems, hardware and software
- Experience in total system design, including networks
- Experience with Operational Technology (OT), such as Industrial Control Systems and SCADA
- Process improvement experience
- Prior experience developing and deploying solutions to customer requirements
- Recognized expert in security principles, policy and regulations
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability communicate to General Officer and Senior Executive Service (SES) leaders while demonstrating a commitment to personal and corporate excellence, ethical behavior, and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and leading a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities.
- Ability to mentor and lead a technical team to include functional management of direct reports.
- Understanding of and experience with a managed services approach.
- Strong project management skills
- Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within 90 days.
- Must possess an active Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered.
- Prior experience in with large system architecture
- Understanding of OS, CAS, COTS products and lifecycles.
