Job Description:MANAGEMENT ANALYST II | Plant Maintenance | Hilo Medical Center | Hilo, Hawaii | 100% Full-Time with BenefitsAt Hilo Medical Center, a nationally-recognized "Top-Performing" hospital, we value our team of Management Analysts.The primary purpose of the Analyst position is to assist and provide support to daily operations, ordering, maintaining the Maintenance ticketing system, project evaluation, project development, and project implementation. The analyst must also prepare simple to complex reports of findings and assist in gathering, analyzing and concluding from facts provided for operational improvements.Job duties:
  • Responsible for accurate recordkeeping of Joint Commission Environment of Care, Life Safety, and Emergency Management chapters. Creates documentation and properly files documents according to the corresponding Joint Commission chapters in paper binders and electronic format.
  • Monitors, assigns, and updates tickets, assets, and projects in the computerized maintenance management system or CMMS. Is able to create dashboards and reports from CMMS for productivity and tracking.
  • Maintains and updates assigned monthly reports, meeting minutes, meeting agendas, and other shared reports used for quality and financial improvement.
  • Prepares accounts payable invoices for signature by including the cost center, sub-account and contract (or purchase order) number on each invoice prior to submission. Researches and resolves invoice discrepancies when necessary.
  • Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, developing, advising on, or promoting improvement in managerial policies, practices, methods, procedures and/or organizational structure, including: program objectives, work distribution, the assignment of functions and responsibilities; work methods and procedures; management control systems.
  • Presents simple analyses of data to Assistant Administrator(s), designee(s) or Department Heads to include budgeting and forecasting.
  • Assists and manages small to medium scale projects as a project lead.

  • Satisfactory completion of all academic requirements for a master's degree with specialization in management, public administration, or a related field, which provided knowledge of the principles, practices, techniques and methodologies of management, may be substituted for six (6) months of Specialized Experience.
  • Satisfactory completion of all academic requirements for a Ph.D. degree as described above may be substituted for one and one-half (1-1/2) years of Specialized Experience.
Quality of Experience:Possession of the required number of years of experience will not in itself be accepted as proof of qualification for a position.
