
Assistant Project Manager - Multifamily Projects - NoVA

- Assisting the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects
- Preparing and maintaining project documentation, including schedules, budgets, contracts, and reports
- Communicating with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and clients to ensure timely project progress
- Conducting site visits to monitor work progress, quality, safety, and compliance with specifications
- Managing and tracking project budgets, expenses, and financial reports
- Coordinating the procurement and delivery of materials, tools, and equipment
- Maintaining and updating project schedules using project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project)
- Organizing and participating in project meetings, and following up on action items
- Assisting with change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and submittal processes
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies
- Documenting project milestones, progress updates, and daily reports
- Supporting the superintendent and field teams in resolving on-site issues
- Performing administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and document control
- Possessing 5+ years of experience in construction project coordination or management
- Demonstrating strong knowledge of new construction practices, methods, and sequencing
- Having experience with multifamily residential projects (preferred)
- Understanding construction documents, specifications, and architectural/engineering plans
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or similar)
- Communicating effectively with field staff, subcontractors, vendors, and clients
- Managing time, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment
- Applying knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and permitting processes
- Holding a valid driver's license and being willing to travel to job sites as needed
- Earning a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)
