We’ve been recognized as the Fastest Growing Company in Utah, and we are passionate about making scent a core part of life’s most memorable moments.Your Role at Pura:The Revenue Manager plays a key role in ensuring Pura’s revenue is recognized accurately and timely in accordance with ASC 606. A typical day may include reviewing contracts for revenue implications, preparing and analyzing revenue-related journal entries, and monitoring accounts receivable activity. This individual will partner closely with Sales, Legal, and Accounting to resolve billing or contract issues, oversee customer collections, and ensure compliance with internal controls. They will regularly review AR aging, revenue trends, and key metrics, providing insights to leadership that directly impact cash flow and financial reporting..You will help us inspire a belief in the power of fragrance to craft and elevate memorable moments for our Owners. Oversee revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, ensuring policies are consistently applied across product and contract types.
Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Accounting leadership to review new or modified contracts and identify performance obligations, transaction price considerations, and variable consideration.
Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries and reconciliations as part of month-end close.
Design and maintain internal controls over revenue recognition, billings, and collections.
Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of AR processes to support a scaling, high-growth business.
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Accounting, and FP&A to resolve billing issues, improve cash application, and drive working capital improvements.
Establish KPIs (e.g., DSO, % current AR, collection effectiveness index) and report regularly to leadership on AR performance.
Support the implementation and optimization of ERP/AR systems.
Train and mentor team members (as applicable) to build capabilities across the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3+ years of progressive experience in B2B receivables and revenue recognition, or equivalent experience in public accounting (audit/assurance)
Knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue-related internal controls
CPA license (or actively pursuing) preferred
Demonstrated success reducing past-due balances and improving cash flow in a growth-oriented business.
Strong communication skills.
Experience with ERP systems NetSuite (preferred), and customer portals.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Ability to analyze complex customer arrangements and translate them into clear accounting conclusions.
Experience implementing process improvements or automation is a plus.
