2. Makes sure load conforms to and matches delivery tickets.
3. Signs and obtains signatures on all delivery tickets.
4. Assists in supervision of large moves.
5. Checks to see if load is secured properly.
6. Operates all vehicles and equipment at the Service Center.
7. Reports any accidents to vehicle or merchandise in their care.
8. Assists in training and cross-training other employees.
9. Perform all other related duties as assigned.
10. Adheres strictly to all safety regulations and procedures.
11. Communicates effectively with Principals, Department Heads, District staff and all other Auxiliary Services personnel, contractors and vendors in a professional manner in all phases necessary to complete each job and project.
12. Maintains an acceptable grooming standard and dress code as required by the Dallas ISD and Auxiliary Services department.
13. All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises Truck Driver Helper.QualificationsQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated ability to record information accurately and clearly.
Demonstrated ability to communicate in English by speaking, reading and writing.
Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, Dallas ISD staff and visitors to Dallas ISD schools and facilities.
Must maintain Texas Driver’s License and record that meets Dallas ISD standard.
Must be able to pass the Dallas ISD Random Drug Test.
Must wear safety-clothing, equipment, as required.
Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions. May be required to work fluctuating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
