We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Network Engineer to join our IT team and help maintain, optimize, and secure our systems.Position SummaryThe Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting network infrastructure across all DIVIETO Ristorante Group locations. This role requires expertise in network systems, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of resolving technical challenges efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.This is a remote role, but the candidate must reside in the United States and possess a valid U.S. government-issued ID to meet compliance and security requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks across multiple restaurant locations.Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.Implement and manage firewalls, VPNs, and security protocols to safeguard sensitive business data.Collaborate with IT support staff to resolve escalated issues and provide technical guidance.Work with vendors and service providers to manage network equipment, services, and contracts.Maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and security policies.Support cloud-based services (e.g., Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365) and integrate them with on-site systems.Ensure compliance with data security standards and company policies.Proactively recommend improvements to network architecture and infrastructure scalability.Qualifications & RequirementsRequired:Must reside in the United States.Must have a valid U.S. government-issued ID (drivers license, state ID, or passport).Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a related IT/networking role.Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.Experience configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto).Hands-on experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or similar).Familiarity with VoIP systems and restaurant/hospitality network environments is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.Preferred:Relevant industry certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent).Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, etc.).Knowledge of PCI compliance standards for payment processing networks.Experience supporting POS (Point of Sale) systems and Wi-Fi for hospitality businesses.What We OfferCompetitive salary based on experience.Remote work flexibility within the United States.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off and company holidays.Professional development opportunities and certification reimbursement.Collaborative and supportive work culture within a growing hospitality brand.
