Position: HW Commodity Specialist II (multiple positions available)
Location: Seattle, WAMultiple Positions Available:1. Partner with your team and oversee the auditing operations and develop analytical models / SQL automation efforts while overseeing their continuous innovation and communication to both your operations & other business partners.
2. Design exception based reporting highlighting and analyzing outliers.
3. Weekly discussions reporting on pricing gaps, spot quotes, inventory status and areas of improvement.
4. Engage in forecasting, demand planning, material/supply/inventory planning, and/or capacity planning to deliver supply globally with a high degree of predictability;
5. Manage supply buffers and allocation to shorten lead times and build resiliency into the supply chain without driving excess; and
6. Develop and Manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) schedule to assure launch occurs of schedule and within budget.
7. Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base opportunities to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize industry developments that benefit Amazon.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSA Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline and 2 years of experience in job offered or a related occupation. In the alternative, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent, in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline followed by 5 progressively responsible years of experience in job offered or a related occupation.Experience must include:1. 2 years of experience within Logistics, Transportation, or Distribution Center processes and system
2. 2 years of experience in a cross-functional organization utilizing sophisticated quantitative analysis and process improvement methodologies including lean process manufacturing and related performance metrics for continuous improvement, optimization and to increase efficiency within processes.
3. 2 years of experience conducting statistical analysis and performing data mining utilizing tools including, excel and relate business intelligence tools.
4. 2 years of experience with Excel advanced tools (pivots, lookups, etc.)The pay range for this position in Seattle, WA is $115,211 - $139,100(yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
