- The ROI Supervisor will oversee a team of approximately twenty-eight (28) EMR Specialist, ROI Technicians/Specialist/Leads.
- The ROI Supervisor responsibilities include but are not limited to: onboarding & training new team members, supervising ongoing quality, productivity and efficiency in the Release of Information Department, field questions, address/resolve complaints, determining operational needs, attending meetings, enforces appropriate disciplinary action, and assists with oversight and management of production and quality control efforts.
- The ROI Supervisor works in conjunction with the other departments, agencies and Novant Health Privacy office as needed.

- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare related field such as acute hospital, Q10, Fiscal Intermediary, or CMS, required.
- Minimum one year supervisory experience with RHIA credentials, or a minimum of two years’ experience with RHIT credentials, required.
- Experience in medical records with record of notable accomplishments and/or record of successful progression in responsibilities, required.
- Licensure/Certification: RHIA or RHIT certification required. Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS) preferred.
- Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
