- Able to run projects from the field without any assistance
- Works on the following standard VDC documentation, keeping it up to industry-leading standards:
- VDC Execution Plan
- VDC Coordination Schedule
- VDC Sign-off Sheets
- VDC Technology SOPs
- VDC Project Scope and Budgets
- Interactive Dashboards
- Review models from designers, subcontractors, and others to ensure proper coordination and installation in the field.
- Ability to teach VDC PM team members on the use of technology and coordination in the field.
- Coordination of all BIM logistics (contracts, emails, communication, file sharing, etc)
- Coordination and facilitation of technology needed to create subcontractor big room meetings.
- Maintain federated model standards for many purposes (PE review models, field inspection models, punch list items, background models, field instruction models).
- Create standards for running meetings with the client on project-specific goals and plans.
- Run meetings with the client on IPS VDC-specific goals and plans.
- General review and documentation of trade models and coordination conflicts.
- Maintenance of interactive dashboards
- Validate model-based project as-builts by trade subcontractors.
- Responsible for individual quality control and timely completion of assigned projects.
- Field CQV support, resolving field disputes through model verification.
- Verifying with field subcontractors that they have the most current design and installation information.
- Provide modeling for change order verification, ROMs, scope holes in modeling efforts, design team support, etc.
- Assign and manage the creation of VDC PM-related SOPs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Associate's/Technical degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 5+ years of experience in construction management, project management, or VDC/BIM roles
- Working knowledge of Navisworks Manage, Revit, and/or AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of BIM 360/ACC and other Autodesk products
- Willingness to find new software and create and implement new and existing standards
- Strong working knowledge of MEP systems and installations
- Must have field experience in design and construction
- Must have great organizational skills (juggling multiple jobs and files from multiple vendors) to be able to meet project deadlines
- Customer service experience exhibiting strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well with individuals (co-workers, clients, vendors) at all levels
- Can resolve conflicts between contractors, clients, and the design team
- Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, which may include exposure to varying working conditions.
- Must be able to adhere to strict cleanroom gowning protocol.
- This position will have 75-100% travel, or as required by the assigned project.
- You may be assigned to the client site for an extended period of time.
- Overnight travel or staying in the city of the Client’s location is possible, depending on the assignment.
- You will visit construction sites and will be required to take site safety training and adhere to site safety rules.
- Must have access to reliable transportation.
- Must have the ability to travel and commute on a daily or routine basis.
- Work schedule may require flexibility, including availability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts, as well as weekend
- This position is a safety-sensitive position. The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research or other "non-administrative" areas.
