
Account Receivables Accountant

- Perform the day-to-day processing of financial transactions to ensure that the financials are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.
- Review of the Collection of Food Stamps benefits and record monthly
- Calculate the care costs as new changes occur
- Calculate and record monthly lease changes as they occur for our Housing Services.
- Update and record monthly billing for customers
- Apply payment and reconcile accounts of people in our services
- Print and distribute monthly aging statements and other related reports (to Rep Payees, managers)
- Process Contract Billing and reconciliations
- Provide assistant with the yearly audit process
- Provide regular maintenance & review of programs to ensure efficient and updated information.
- Maintain Care Costs, Food Stamps, Rents and Voucher databases
- Update customer profile to Financial Edge
- Maintain a filing system for all financial documents
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial and customer files
- Collect letters and calls for Care Cost accounts
- Prepare Statements for Collection of outstanding rents per request by Housing Department
- Reconcile the Revenue and AR accounts that coincide with these revenue streams on monthly and yearly basis
- Provide customer service such as assisting customers, employees and respond to inquiries; answer phones and follow up email correspondence; Inform Directors, Managers and supervisors of any changes in regard of care costs, lease renewals, food stamps expiration

- Attend and participate in program staff meetings and supervision meetings.
- Remain in compliance with all annual mandatory training courses including FA/CPR training and any other trainings identified based on Bridgewell's policies and procedures and personal development plan.
- Provide any other support as assigned within the Finance department.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in "Accounting" or "Business Administration" is required
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar position is required
- Knowledge and experience in utilizing Accounting Software
- Computer literacy to include the ability to use proficiently all Microsoft products and web-based applications used by the agency.
- Ability to set checking and control routines and follow up on work plans and responsibilities
- Ability to create strong working relationships with peers and work as a team to achieve departmental goals
- Ability to listen actively and demonstrate empathy and understanding.
