To be considered for this position, you must be available to attend every day of training. Once training is completed and on-the-job training begins, your regular schedule will resume.This is a full-time, temporary position from September 29, 2025 to January 9, 2025. This role works onsite at our Global Ministry Center in Colorado Springs, CO. Preference will be given to candidates who are local to Colorado Springs.This position is heavily focused on data entry. This entry-level associate follows established procedures to process all Sponsor and Donor Processing (SDP) department cases and exceptions as directed. This associate further maintains financials within accounts, allocating donations and commitments to appropriate funds and accounts. This associate is also responsible for processing sponsor/child letters. At this entry level, the incumbent is still learning sponsor/donor processing procedures for his or her assigned location.What will you do?
  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
  • Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.
  • Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors.
  • Data entry, written correspondence, basic financial transactions, and account services. Further provides back up and support on a regular basis.
  • As assigned, processes a high volume of daily monies, logs deposit amounts, and makes adjustments to journal entries and refunds into a database.
  • Maintains a high volume of regular constituent accounts. Resolves simple account problems, escalating to senior associates when needed. Recommends best pairings for sponsor-requested product and commitment levels, links sponsor to children and products in computer system once assigned.
  • Researches and resolves journal entry errors or problems from personal contributions.
  • Works within the automated workflow system to allocate sponsor/donor monies to the appropriate funds or accounts.
  • Maintains assigned accounts and processes a high volume of regular transactions.
  • Interacts with associates from other departments for instructions regarding application of funds or constituent account problems that require more information before resolution can occur for appropriate application of funds.
  • Often provides some general administrative support.
