We are known for providing the highest quality individualized care for our patients and our team of highly skilled physical therapists who are passionate about helping patients achieve their goals.The Regional Director of Operations (RDO) is responsible for overseeing the clinical and business development operations of their assigned region. The RDO is a direct liaison between clinical employees and the corporate/leadership team. This position requires continual communication with all Clinic Managers. Overall treatment of patients will include hands on and written evaluation, development of plan of care, and ongoing treatment with patients through all phases of physical therapy. Position requires ensuring every patient receives a unique experience through a comprehensive, thorough, and customized physical therapy regimen with an emphasis on quality care provided in a friendly and encouraging environment.Responsibilities
  • Oversee the clinical operations of the designated region, including but not limited to, hours of operations, labor management, KPI’s and operational excellence; maximize efficiency and utilization of personnel, equipment, and financial resource
  • Work with multiple clinics and Clinical Managers across a specific region, coordinate and conduct biweekly meetings within designated region to ensure that the mission, vision and values are being delivered each day in every clinic
  • Review and manage all Clinical Manager reports
  • Ensure labor management is consistent with FTE visit volume expectations per clinic; analyze, review and regularly audit KPI’s within designated region and provide ongoing feedback regarding operational performance; as well as assist in growth and maintenance of individual clinic productivity
  • Analyze business reporting and create recommendation/action to attainment of yearly budgetary and contribution goals, prioritizing supported practice performance issues to ensure issues impacting Same Store Growth (SSG), revenue and profitability (EBITDA) are addressed first
  • Monitor P&L statements for each supported clinic and develop effective ways to close the gaps between actual performance and company projections
  • Scheduling, benefit or authorization needs or requests; communicate as needed regarding scheduling requests to ensure fluid treatment progression of patients
  • Manage the Coverage Calendar for designated regional employees including but not limited to coordinating placement of provider coverage as needed, place coverage information on the calendar; be the designated coverage when a provider is needed an no coverage is available
  • Oversee, delegate and/or prepare the annual performance review process for employees within the designated region; provide feedback/coaching, disciplinary action, praise and recognition to employees as necessary, up to and including recommendation for termination of employment
  • Provide ongoing monitoring, guidance and training of current practices, policies and procedures to ensure operational compliance and excellence
  • Treat patients with all phases of Physical Therapy treatment and techniques per the Physical Therapist job description and to the standards of Therapy Partners Group
  • Serve as organization liaison to drive quality initiatives as determined by the Quality Control to your respective region
  • Maintain confidences and credibility with all clients and employees; maintain friendly, cordial relations with all clients and employees; maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that results in a positive work relationship with customers, co-workers and managers
  • Assist in developing new service lines within designated region when need or opportunity arises
  • Attend community events to promote TPG involvement and presence
  • Assist in coordinating and overseeing Clinical Residency and Internship experiences for clinics within the region
  • Review and approve professional development/continuing education, reimbursements, as well as clinic expenditures for clinics in the designated region
  • Collaborate with Finance and COO to establish annual budgets
  • Arrange quarterly regional outings within TPG guidelines
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in health-related field; Graduate/Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.Experience: At least 2 year of previous management/leadership experience.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Requires prolonged standing, some sitting, bending, stooping and stretching. Some lifting, pushing and assisting patients with exercise and patient transfers. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and present reports. Frequent travel to regional clinics, some flight and overnight stays may be required.
