This position will be full-time contract and hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote per week).What You’ll DoServe as the primary liaison between the program office, stakeholders, and development teams, ensuring alignment despite competing prioritiesPartner with developers to ensure requirements are clearly understood, features are developed, and bugs are fixed within agreed timelinesFacilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and defect triage sessionsWork closely with the program office to streamline and prioritize the product backlog, clarify requirements, and remove blockersCoordinate with internal teams, third-party vendors, and leadership for the flawless execution of projectsReview vendor Statements of Work (SOWs) and provide recommendations and feedback to the CIOPrepare and manage project budgets; recommend adjustments where necessaryMaintain and update project epics, user stories, and tasks in Jira, ensuring clarity and accountabilityGenerate reporting and updates for US DOE and internal leadershipLead business analysis efforts for Phase 3 of the Student Longitudinal Data Systems project, including student and staff data collection requirementsConduct stakeholder meetings to gather, document, and validate requirementsTranslate business needs into actionable user stories for Agile deliveryEvaluate business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements or solutionsDemonstrate leadership across the full software development lifecycle in both Agile and Waterfall environmentsWhat You'll NeedRequired:7+ years of combined experience in project management and business analysis roles supporting software development projectsStrong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologiesProven ability to manage difficult stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and build consensus in challenging environmentsHands-on experience with Jira or similar project management tools, with expertise in backlog management and defect trackingFamiliarity with testing tools and practices to support QA effortsExcellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersHighly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneouslyTrack record of managing vendor relationships and providing executive-level reportingPreferred:Experience with Salesforce (CRM, Service Cloud, or custom applications)Exposure to data warehousing and reporting tools such as Snowflake, Tableau, or similarFamiliarity with AWS cloud services for hosting and data integrationPrior experience in education sector projects or with statewide longitudinal data systemsPhysical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standardsSedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitorThe pay range for this position is $72.50 - $82.50 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education.
