The Practice Manager I plays a crucial role in the efficient and effective operation of medical practices. This position involves overseeing day-to-day operations, staff management, financial administration, and strategic planning to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and a positive patient experience.What you will do:
- Overseeing the daily operations of medical practices, ensuring they run smoothly an efficiently.
- Recruiting, training, and supervising practice staff, including medical assistants, administrative personnel, and support staff.
- Managing the practice's financial aspects, including budgeting, billing, and revenue cycle management, to ensure financial goals are met.
- Coordinating patient appointment scheduling, optimizing patient flow and ensuring timely car
- Handling patient inquiries and concerns, addressing issues and maintaining a high standard of patient satisfaction.
- Implementing and monitoring quality assurance and compliance measures, ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Developing and implementing strategies to enhance practice performance, patient access, and growth opportunities.
- Ensuring the effective use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare technology for efficient patient care and record-keeping.
- Managing inventory levels and supplies within the practice, ensuring they are adequately stocked and well-maintained.
- Preparing and presenting reports on practice performance, including financial, operational, and patient care metrics.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field preferred. Three to five years of previous psychiatric practice management experience preferred. Working knowledge of behavioral health related ICD9/CPT coding required. Strong organizational skills required. An excellent understanding of the overall billing process and computerized billing software preferred
