Position Summary:We are seeking a skilled Network Implementation Engineer to support the replacement of a core network switching infrastructure. This role involves assisting with the deployment of new network equipment, planning and executing a seamless cutover from the existing environment, and ensuring operational integrity during and after the transition.Key Responsibilities:Review and assess current core network configurationsParticipate in planning sessions to coordinate upgrade timing and risk mitigationAssist with physical installation, configuration validation, and migration supportWork alongside project management to ensure efficient coordination during scheduled downtimeRecommend best practices and identify configuration improvements if necessaryCreate or update network documentation and diagrams as neededSupport testing and post-cutover validationRequirements:5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network deploymentsStrong understanding of core routing, switching, and network design principlesExperience planning and executing hardware replacements and cutoversAbility to analyze configurations and suggest optimizations based on best practicesComfortable working in high-stakes, scheduled outage environmentsExcellent communication and coordination skillsPreferred Qualifications:Industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent experience)Familiarity with modern data center architecturesExperience in multi-site network environmentsPowered by JazzHR
