- 5 years of experience in pediatric nursing with advanced knowledge in adult learning theory and clinical educational concepts
- MBA, MHA, or MSN preferred
- Demonstrated experience in human resources & financial management
- Bachelor of Science in nursing; preferred master's degree in nursing, education, or other related field
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
- Professional Nursing Certification deemed by department required upon one year of hire.

- Demonstrated leadership skills in facilitating and leading cross-functional teams
- Accountable for needs assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of Clinical education and development of programs that reflect quality, comprehensiveness, cost-effectiveness, and an appropriate use of staff and management resources.
- Lead direct reports in planning, implementing, and evaluating targeted and ongoing education and simulation, resulting in measurable impact and clinical outcomes and/or improve staff knowledge and application to patient care, unit clinical orientations, initial and annual clinical competency assessments, and professional development programs.
- Participates in, advises, or leads appropriate committees, task forces, meetings and activities that facilitate the development and improves practice of Patient Care Provider staff, ultimately resulting in improved quality of care to patients and families.
- Provides oversight of clinical education and simulation teams.
- Demonstrates knowledge, passion, and enthusiasm for professional nursing and other clinical disciplines and promotes the same among all members of the team.
- Provides ongoing assessment and improvements to the delivery of clinical education to include simulation, multimedia, distance learning and online capabilities that are accessible and relevant.
- Lead teams in identifying a clear set of metrics linked to education or simulation-based interventions to objectively assess impact.
- Performs leadership functions for all Clinical Learning and the Simulation Center, including managing and maintaining budget (including grant and donor funding), overseeing operations and human resources, and driving employee performance. Looks for opportunities to operate more efficiently and cost effectively. Maintains and enhances knowledge of current trends and issues related to nursing and integrates ideas into practice.
- Accountable for driving rolling Simulation Center strategy, ensuring collaboration with Learning, organization stakeholders and Medical Director on development and implementation.
- Partners with operational leaders in the assessment, evaluation and improvement of departmental education programs led by clinical and simulation educators.
- Assists in development & implementation of activities designed to meet requirements of The Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies. Maintains CNE accreditation and approved provider status for nursing contact hours.
