ResponsibilitiesThe primary purpose of the Transport Dispatch Coordinator is to monitor all dispatch functions using EPIC Transport Module. Monitors staff and services requests for patients and patient related materials/supplies to and from various service areas within the Hospital or Rutgers campus. Enters and upgrade requests to expedite patients or items (patient related materials) in the system. Maintains contact with all Customers Service Tech’s via EPIC Transport Module while maintaining an acceptable level of customer service in all areas. Responsible for opening and closing the office at the beginning and end of the shift. Maintains direct communication with Transporters regarding the storage of shift data.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED certificate required. Two (2) years of customer service experience preferably in a healthcare environment. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English to sufficiently perform the job. Must be able to pass Body Mechanics Physical Assessment and CPR training during the probationary period. Must be able to walk and stand for long periods, push, pull lift and bend with hand and eye coordination. Must be able to respond to changing staffing needs and shift rotations with required advance notifications.
