- Work closely with development and other teams to deploy software releases and updates, and identify and implement improvements to that process
- Set up and maintain source code management tools, repositories, workflows, and pipelines; automate CI/CD processes using applicable DevOps toolsets
- Set up security and other scans, and integrate QA test suites for deployed applications as part of the CI/CD process
- Plan, provision, configure, maintain, and update cloud and on-prem infrastructure as needed
- Set up application performance monitoring and alerting dashboards, as well as automate health checks for applications and services
- Implement solutions for disaster recovery, failover, and application/infrastructure resiliency
- Write scripts for deployment, configuration, provisioning, monitoring, and other tasks to supplement DevOps tools
- Provide production support, troubleshoot technical issues, manage incidents, and perform root cause analysis
- Stay current with industry best practices, trends, and security/compliance requirements; implement improvements accordingly
- Collaborate and work effectively in an Agile team environment
- 7-10+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer or in a related role
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools like GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Harness, ArgoCD
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); containerization (Docker); Kubernetes is a plus
- Certification in one of the major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is mandatory
- Strong background in system administration, Linux/Unix shell scripting, and networking
- Experience with databases and SQL; knowledge of NoSQL databases is a plus
- Familiarity with application performance monitoring and alerting tools
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and tools like Terraform
- Understanding of security and compliance best practices
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of software development and test automation suites
- Preferred knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, and scripting (Linux/Unix Shell, etc.)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills; strong grasp of Agile methodologies
