Join us.Job DescriptionThe responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform routine duties requiring knowledge of basic engineering principles.
  • Execute specific and limited portions of broader assignments.
  • Spend a large percentage of time performing estimating take-offs and conducting walk-downs for quantity tracking purposes.
  • Report on installed quantities and perform field inspections to verify adherence to design specifications.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to support ongoing projects.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on technical issues and project progress.
  • Assist in the development of project schedules and budgets using appropriate software tools.
  • Conduct research on engineering standards, codes, and best practices relevant to assigned projects.
  • Support the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documentation.
  • Assist in the coordination of activities between various project stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Contribute to the development of project proposals and cost estimates for new business opportunities.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to AECOM's safety protocols and promote a culture of safety in all work activities.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License, and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with CADD, HCS, Revit, Sketchup, AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoades, InSite, and GIS.
