- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server infrastructure in compliance with DoD and Army standards.
- Manage user accounts, security groups, and organizational units (OUs) to ensure proper access control and compliance.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security posture; apply patches and updates as required.
- Implement and maintain DoD STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) and ensure systems remain compliant with Information Assurance (IA) requirements.
- Effectively troubleshoot and document complex technical issues.
- Record and track work in the enterprise ticketing system and Knowledge Management repositories.
- Perform backup, recovery, and restoration operations for AD and Windows Servers.
- Support incident response efforts, audit requests, and vulnerability remediation.
- Provide on-call or shift support in a 24x7 operational environment as needed.
- Work independently or collaboratively to set priorities and meet mission deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- HS + 4 years of IT experience OR AA/AS + 2 year OR BA/BS degree.
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Systems Administrator.
- 2+ years of experience managing Active Directory in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019 (or newer), DNS, DHCP, and GPOs.
- Experience in system hardening, patching, and DoD STIG compliance.
- CompTIA Security+ CE, CySA+, or SSCP (required).
- Must obtain within 6 months of hire:
- AZ-900 - Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals OR
- AZ-104 - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate OR
- MD-102 - Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate.
- Active Secret Clearance preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (Interim Secret required prior to start).
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
- Familiarity with DoD/Army networks, DISA tools, and RMF compliance.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Experience with enterprise monitoring tools (SolarWinds, SCCM, Splunk).
- Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in high-tempo, mission-critical environments.
- Maintain focus and awareness throughout scheduled working hours.
- Perform tasks requiring prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk, utilizing a computer, mouse, and keyboard.
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds as needed.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
