The Lifeguard at Mohican Lodge is responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests and visitors while they enjoy the various water activities at the lodge. This is a part-time and full time, hourly position located in Perrysville, Ohio. The role requires an individual who is vigilant, physically fit, and has the ability to respond quickly in emergency situations. The Lifeguard will report to the Lodge Manager and work as an individual contributor.Compensation & Benefits:
As a part-time and full time hourly employee, the Lifeguard will receive a competitive compensation of $14 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition, the Lodge offers the following benefits:

- Promote and maintain a safe and secure environment for all guests and visitors utilizing the lodge's pools and other water activities
- Monitor and enforce all pool and water activity rules and regulations
- Conduct regular safety checks and water tests to ensure pool chemicals are at appropriate levels
- Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergency situations, including administering first aid and performing life-saving techniques if necessary
- Communicate effectively with Lodge Manager and other lifeguard staff to ensure proper coverage and rotation during shifts
- Maintain cleanliness and order of pool area, including picking up and organizing pool equipment and ensuring pool deck is clear of any hazards
- Attend all required trainings and meetings, including CPR and First Aid certificationsRequirements:
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or obtain certification before employment begins
- Strong swimming skills and the ability to demonstrate proficiency in rescue and lifesaving techniques
- Physically fit and able to perform duties that require bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
