- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including conveyor systems, molding machines, extruders, and other production machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production lines.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery or modifications to existing systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and order in the maintenance shops and production area.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly and efficiently.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by offering suggestions to improve maintenance processes and reduce costs.
- Document all maintenance activities in logs or digital maintenance systems.
- Collaborate with production, safety, and quality teams to ensure operational efficiency.
- Comply with safety regulations including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and proper use of tools and PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training in industrial maintenance are a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment (preferably in rubber, plastics, or similar industries).
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic).
- Experience with basic computer applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel) for record-keeping and reporting.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to work safely with industrial machinery and chemicals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient with hand and power tools; welding or fabrication experience is beneficial.
- Forklift certification or man-lift certification.
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- PLC experience.
- Monday-Friday 7am to 3:30pm
- Occasional overtime, weekends, or off-shift support as needed.
