Job Category: Medical SupportJob Description:Position Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant or EMT to join our team. This position primarily involves desk work, mainly making outbound calls to patients to communicate important information from their provider. The role includes discussing lab results, medication questions, prior authorizations, immunization queries, and provider messages. Some faxing ability is required.Key Responsibilities:
  • Make outbound calls to patients to relay information from healthcare providers.
  • Communicate lab results, medication details, prior authorizations, immunization information, and provider messages.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information.
  • Perform faxing tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications:This role requires a BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.Must meet one of the following:Medical Assistant (MA): Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by “The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).OREmergency Medical Technician (EMT): Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current Minnesota EMT LicensePreferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Basic faxing skills.
