You will be able lead and manage complete "Control System projects" from design, configuration, customer-interaction, engage with global resources for detailed engineering, conduct FAT tests with customers and hand-over deliverables to services for commissioning. Also, you will be able to perform job duties required to function as "OT-Systems and Technology" engineer for automation systems hardware and software delivered for wide range of projects encompassing complete automation product portfolio with our end-to-end digital offerings.Position will be placed in Automation-Technologies US Engineering Team responsible for Process Control Systems and Optimization applications, Systems, and technologies. This team executes automation projects for US and global markets for Cement and related industries.Your responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and approve design drawings & specifications for automation equipment, networks, etc.
  • IO List Preparation and validation of design inputs and create pre-engineering documents.
  • PLC Hardware Configuration & Programming.
  • SCADA programming and HMI-MIMIC development.
  • Conduct Factory/Site Acceptance Test (FAT/SAT).
  • Ensure timely completion of project with quality and compliance with client requirements.
  • Travel to customer and consultant offices (domestic and global) for project review meetings.
  • Site visits (Domestic and Global) for commissioning support and system handover.
  • May assist in development of design standards / knowledge base articles, specifications, and control system design procedures.
  • Participate actively in team environment and contributes to successful completion of team goals.
  • Attend client meetings and provide technical support to Project management
  • Review work and progress reports of other project team members and conduct quality checks to ensure project deliverables timelines are met.
  • Hardware engineering for new and Upgrade projects for Automation scope.
  • Provide “systems and technology” support to engineering, commissioning and 24x7 Support teams. Evaluate new hardware, software, and technologies, conduct testing, and recommend.
  • Do project scope review and make purchase specifications for ordering automation equipment.
  • Provide expert guidance to Project team on Computer equipment, Virtualization, Networking, evaluation of newer hardware, and software technologies, provide replies to IT/OT queries from customers.
  • Create, revise Licenses for FLS-Automation products and review/approve license costs allocation to projects.
  • Configuration of OT systems equipment (Servers, Desktops, Engineering Workstations, Networks) as per latest industry practices and conduct system-integration testing.
  • Assist group in conduct OT-Cybersecurity assessments and implementing OT-Cybersecurity portfolio offerings.
  • Maintain and apply global standards and adhere to best practices and take value-engineering initiatives to help manage costs, quality checks, standardization, documentation, and compile knowledge-sharing articles.
  • Handle systems warranty-support and troubleshooting and identifying software bugs / issues, conduct user scenario simulation and testing, conduct system performance checks, and provide product improvement feedback to development teams.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and IT/OT industry updates within Automation areas.
What you bring
  • Proficient in Engineering fundamentals.
  • Proficient in understanding Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
  • Experience in PLC/DCS Automation system design, configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Programming / testing for Siemens / Rockwell / ABB / Schneider HMI, PLC, and IO systems.
  • Experience in FLS ECS product will be an added advantage.
  • Relevant Site installation and field commissioning experience.
  • Experience in programming of Intelligent motor control centers, smart instrumentation and IIOT devices
  • Experience in Industrial communication network Protocols like Modbus, Ethernet, Device Net, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, MQTT, OPC etc.
  • Proficient on Computer and network equipment, Server, and Desktop Operating systems software configurations with advanced level troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Virtualization system setup, performance monitoring and tuning.
  • Experience with IT/OT networks, Layer-2/3 switches, Firewall setup, VLAN segmentation.
  • Any relevant Industry certifications – Microsoft, VMware, Dell, HP, Cisco, etc. will be an advantage
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects concurrently and actively contribute to a matrix-organization global team environment.
