- Design and implement scalable, secure network solutions, including MPLS Service Provider Transport Networks.
- Lead complex network migration projects, including MPLS-SR Spine-Leaf Fabric Network transitions.
- Develop and execute detailed network diagrams, low-level designs (LLD), and implementation plans.
- Utilize advanced networking protocols (BGP, ISIS, OSPF, MPLS, L3VPN, EVPN, BFD, etc.) for designing underlay and overlay networks (recursive route resolution, VRFs, pseudowires, control and data plane concepts, etc.)
- Familiar with network monitoring practices (SNMP, syslog, gRPC) and able to infer from provided MOPs / deployment guides / documentation
- Automate network processes using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide architectural consulting, including BOMs, SOWs, and solution presentations.
- Train and mentor team members, enabling effective contribution to ongoing projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless deployment and customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and trends to enhance service delivery.
- Key Skills; Nokia SR OS (24.x+), networking protocols (BGP, ISIS, OSPF, MPLS, L3VPN, EVPN, BFD and automation tools SAM-EBH, Nokia Service Portal
- Must have at least 7 years of experience designing, deploying, and implementing TELCO/Service Provider technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of Nokia hardware/software:
- Proficiency in routing and switching protocols (BGP, ISIS, OSPF, EVPN, L3VPN, Segment Routing, etc.).
- Competent and confident in ability to modify running configuration of production communications service provider (non-enterprise) network devices of the following operating systems and hardware product families:
- Nokia SR OS (24.x+)
- 7750 SR-1 (Nokia FP4 and FP5 Chipsets)
- 7250 IXR-E and IXR-s (Qumran and Jericho Chipsets)
- 7210 SAS-Sx
- WBX-48
- Must be able to infer physical (Layer 1) reality from imperfect and partial information relayed by field resources and device reported state (incorrect or incomplete Fiber cross connects, incorrect transceivers, inadequate power, etc).
- Must have ability to lead maintenance window (local 12-6a) and direct field “smart hands” resources as required to complete scope
