Provides initial preparation of patients prior to the provider’s encounter; assists providers in patient care activities, as directed; updates/documents records; relieves/assists Patient Service Representative as needed; orders and restocks exam rooms and office supplies as needed. The Medical Assistant--Float rotates between the Primary and Specialty care offices in a regional area, assisting providers and staff with office-specific tasks including scheduling, referrals, authorizations, and minor procedures. This Medical Assistant--Float is assigned to the Immediate Care locations in Laurel, DE and Seaford, DE.Medical Assistant Float Position Requirements
  • Previous physician office experience preferred.
  • Experience with electronic health record preferred.
  • Reliable transportation. You will be expected to travel within the Health System's Primary Care and Specialty Practices network as needed to support the office's daily function.
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred.
Medical Assistant Float Schedule
  • Monday - Friday, rotating weekends, 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
