- Assists with routine preventative maintenance to ensure building automation systems (BAS) continue to run smoothly and efficiently.
- Assists with the installation and upgrading of the system.
- Assists with monitoring and controlling the system.
- Assists with troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing Steam and Chilled water metering devices.
- Assists with troubleshooting and programing all types of variable frequency drivers.
- Assists with analyzing steam, chilled water, and condensate return of all buildings for monthly utility billing.
- Assists with scheduling climate controls campus wide to maximize energy savings while maintaining occupant comfort.
- May collaborate with Operating Engineers, Plumbing, Electrical, BioMed, and Steam and Chill Water Plant (SCWP) and other shops to troubleshoot and solve non-utility controls problems.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of any site support position to include assisting any skilled trade.
- Basic knowledge of the use of test equipment such as volt meters, manometers, and test gauges·
- Basic knowledge of tools used to repair and maintain the system.
- Ability to read and understand simple blueprints, diagrams, specifications and sequence of operation descriptions·
- Ability to comprehend and follow general instructions, procedures, safety rules and regulations·
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Required: Valid Oklahoma Driver's License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date.
