- Maintain the supply of medical gas cylinders in the respiratory department, and all related areas.
- Restocks supplies, retrieves equipment and re-processes equipment as necessary.
- Maintains appropriate levels of equipment in the various respiratory care work areas.
- Performs routine assembly, maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of various types of respiratory care equipment.
- Followsstandard precautions. Adheresto Hand Hygiene and PPE procedures.
- Reports equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Transports equipment between in-patient units and procedure areas as directed by a Respiratory Therapist.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings/summits.
- Completes required education and training as needed.
- Maintainsreasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal,state, and local standards.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Consistently usestime and resources effectively and efficiently.
- Performs all other assigned duties. Qualifications:
- Respiratory Care student currently enrolled in an accredited Associate of Science in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences pre-licensure program at a college or university affiliated with the organization.
- Proof of continued enrollment in accredited pre-licensure, professional respiratory care program with no break in enrollment.
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare provider certification.
- Obtains license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the State of Florida Department of Health within three months post-graduation.
Concurrent enrollment in an Associate of Science in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences pre-licensure program not to exceed
three months post-graduation.
