Position SummaryThe Facility Maintenance Technician will assist in various areas within the Facility department. The position will assist with various tasks for the Atlanta Falcons Training Camp, Operations, and Facility Team. This position will be an integral member of the Facility team in-season and during the off-season.Roles and Responsibilities:Includes, but not limited to, the following roles and responsibilities:
  • Coordinates the organization and operational activities for building maintenance.
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
  • Identifying maintenance risks on equipment. Perform routine preventative maintenance on the facility.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairing buildings and installed systems, including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop equipment, grounds equipment, and HVAC.
  • Clean, lubricate, and service various pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.
  • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles and door hardware.
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend upgrading maintenance operations and/or implementing savings opportunities.
  • Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance.
  • Respond immediately to emergencies and customer service requests as assigned.
  • Knowledgeable and maintain and operate fire and life safety systems such as Fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related fire protection system equipment as assigned.
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and Company directives related to building operations and practicing safe work habits.
  • Ability to use technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, building automation systems, etc.
  • Utilize the CMMS to create and coordinate efficient Preventive and Corrective maintenance work based on priorities, needs, scope, resources, and timeline requirements.
  • Assist vendors with projects that affect the building/property.
  • Participates in developing and administering the assigned maintenance budget; assists with forecasting funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; recommends adjustments as necessary.
  • These roles and responsibilities are intended to be examples of duties and are not all-inclusive. Other duties will be assigned. The individual holding this position will represent the Falcons and, as such, shall promote a positive impression by consistently demonstrating a collegial and professional customer service approach.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma: Associate’s in a related area preferred, in HVAC, including EPA Certified.
  • Motivated, mechanically inclined, EPA-certified service technicians.
  • Lead maintenance of work order systems and maintenance projects.
  • Performs minor and major repairs of the facility and equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis. Completes daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
  • Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
  • Experience in building maintenance programs, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical knowledge.
  • Assist with developing and implementing the annual management plan for the facility.
  • Ability to be on-call and work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as deemed necessary by the Falcons. Ability to respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
  • Ability to work in outdoor and indoor weather conditions.
Required Skills:
  • 5+Years of Mechanical (HVAC), Refrigeration service, maintenance, and repair experience.
  • Operational characteristics, services, and activities of a building maintenance program, including preventive maintenance, facility repairs, facility improvements, and custodial functions.
  • Read and understand building/property blueprints.
  • Climb ladders and perform rooftop maintenance inspection tasks.
  • Mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, critical systems, HVAC, generator, electrical, and others defined for the facility.
  • Knowledge of current methods, terminology, equipment, tools, and materials for maintaining, repairing, and constructing building structures and systems.
  • Principles and practices of budget preparation and administration.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with staff, coaches, players and our community
  • Ability to maintain successful and cooperative working relationships, demonstrating tact and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and to effectively supervise others when needed.
  • Highly organized with a solid attention to detail and business process.
  • Communicates clearly, both verbally and in writing and concisely.
  • Strong communication skills and experience with the Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong experience in Preventative maintenance, HVAC, CMMS, BMS, and Access Controls.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
