- Reads and comprehends instructions and follows established procedures
- Collects all material and equipment needed to begin the process
- Takes precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components
- Selects or modify components according to measurements and specifications
- Aligns material and put together parts to build more complex units
- Checks output to ensure highest quality
- Maintains equipment in good condition
- Reports on issues, malfunction or defective parts
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Verifies production counts completed with the job traveler requirements for the specific operation.
- Completes requisitions for production supplies as needed.
- Completes and maintains daily production logs, reports, and records.
- Conducts quality inspection of own work as it is being produced/completed.
- Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Proactively supports the ISO process approach to quality management and the Syteline MIS system.
- Adheres to all safety policies and practices, consistently uses personal protective equipment, and practices good housekeeping.
- Maintains regular on time attendance and adheres to company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
- Applies classroom and on the job post training information, knowledge, skills, and abilities consistently in a quality-oriented manner (wherein the KSAs are part of the jobs tasks, duties and other tasks as requested).
- Performs other tasks as directed.
- High school graduate or equivalent with 6 months assembly experience desirable with use of hand tools such as but not limited to cordless drills, insertion tools, air operated drills, hammer etc.
- Ability to read prints, diagram and job instructions, and use micrometer, verniers, calipers, and gauges.
